Princess Anne looked fashionable as ever while accepting an honor at the University of Huddersfield.
The Princess Royal, 74, donned a cobalt blue wrap dress on Wednesday, July 16, while receiving an Honorary Doctorate from the West Yorkshire university. She paired the look with a layered pearl necklace, blue clutch purse and matching gloves.
Anne’s appearance comes after she stunned in a new look earlier this month while attending a State Banquet at Windsor Castle in London. After 50 years of wearing a voluminous updo, Anne sported a twisted bun for the outing. She complemented the look with her diamond Festoon Tiara, a piece of jewelry that has been in her collection since 1973.
While at the event, Anne was styled in an ivory dress adorned with lace embellishments on her bodice and featuring a pleated, flowy skirt. She paired the look with a cropped jacket and elbow-high gloves, a diamond necklace and matching earrings in addition to sparkly pins. A bright blue sash was worn across her torso.

One month before, Anne joined her family members for an outing for The Order of the Garter Service, which honors King Charles III and 24 knights chosen for their work. At the event, Anne rode in a carriage with Duchess Sophie, where she donned a ceremonial dress as one of the knights.
Anne, who is the daughter of the late Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Phillip, got candid about her classic look in her 2020 documentary, Princess Royal: Anne at 70. In the film, she reflected on her go-to style after The Crown’s Erin Doherty — who plays a younger version of Anne in the Netflix show — shared that it took stylists hours to perfect her appearance.

“Actually, I read an article the other day about Netflix and The Crown, but the actress was talking about how long it took them to do their hair like I did,” Anne said. “And I’m thinking, ‘How could you possibly take that long?’ I mean, it takes me 10 or 15 minutes.”
Anne, for her part, has no plans of stepping away from her royal duties anytime soon. When asked in January by the Press Association if she has any potential retirement plans, Anne replied, “I don’t think there’s a retirement programme on this particular life. It really isn’t written in, no. It isn’t really an option, no, I don’t think so.”
