
An Alfred man allegedly chased people with a hockey stick outside a store in Lyman over the weekend.
Randy Marcotte, 64, has been charged with criminal threatening with a dangerous weapon, violating his conditions of release and driving to endanger, according to the York County Sheriff’s Office.
Marcotte allegedly accosted and fought with patrons at the 7 Jackson’s Corner Store on Alfred Road on Saturday afternoon.
Witnesses reported that he was chasing people with a hockey stick and chasing them with his vehicle.
He left the store in a Dodge pickup truck before deputies arrived.
Deputies later spotted Marcotte’s truck on Alfred Road in Lyman and pulled him over.
Marcotte was out on bail and his conditions required him not to commit any new crimes and not to possess any dangerous weapons.
While searching his truck, deputies found the hockey stick he had been allegedly threatening people with, as well as two knives, a makeshift club, a hatchet, and a set of nunchucks, according to the sheriff’s office.
Marcotte was arrested and taken to the York County Jail in Alfred, where he is being held without bail.
