After a violent assault, an Orono group wants to change the town’s rules for disorderly activity. Four people summonsed after the assault had come from a party with more than the allowed number of guests that had been the subject of multiple complaints.

Construction has resumed in Pickering Square after a months-long delay. The site between the parking garage and transit center was torn up in July 2024 with plans to finish by Halloween of that year.
