Congratulations for the passage of all the budgets that will now go into effect soon. So glad for the groups of people who are getting pay raises.
Now what about the rest of us who are footing the funds for these budgets? We are struggling to make ends meet as it is with high utility bills, property taxes, etc. Social Security and disability payments haven’t gone up enough to help.
So all I can say is enjoy your pay raises and, in some cases, higher property taxes while we wait for the unprecedented 2 percent pay raise next year. I’ll take my $1.25 a month increase and get a cup of coffee if I can find one for that price!
