According to the Palestinian Information Center, this is what a four year-old girl in Gaza had to say recently after her father returned from trying to get food from an aid distribution center run by the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation: “I am happy that my dad is back wounded, not dead. I prefer to remain starving rather than asking my dad to go get some aid from the Americans.”
The foundation is run by militarized private contractors. Israeli soldiers routinely open fire at desperate people trying to collect a paltry amount of food, killing hundreds and wounding thousands.
Imagine your own small child having to say those words. Israel is using starvation as a weapon of war, which is a war crime, and the U.S. is complicit.
Gaza should be front page news every day.
