Demi Lovato is cooking up something new!
Lovato announced on Wednesday, June 25, that she will be releasing a cookbook titled One Plate at a Time: Recipes for Finding Freedom With Food. The cookbook, which includes over 80 recipes, will be published by Flatiron Books and released on March 31, 2026.
In a press release, Lovato said her recipes were “all created to emphasize enjoyment over perfection” — something that she began to appreciate after learning more about cooking in her 30s. Lovato, now 32, has spoken openly in the past about her struggles and relationship with food and hopes to “welcome everyone into the kitchen” with this project. For her, learning to cook was a “revelation” and taught her “how to truly nourish herself in mind, body and spirit.”
“This is a cookbook for people who struggle to enjoy food without guilt and for anyone looking for a gentler, more grounded approach to cooking,” the press release stated.
The former child star emerged on the scene in Barney & Friends and soon became a household name with her roles in Disney Channel hits like Camp Rock, Sonny With a Chance and As the Bell Rings. Last month, Lovato wed singer Jordan Lutes in a California ceremony.

All of Lovato’s recipes are aimed at being accessible to everyone from experienced cooks to people just starting out in the kitchen, as the pop star was just a couple of years ago. The cookbook will also include vibrant food photography as well as Lovato’s personal stories and tips and tricks for thriving in the kitchen. Within the 80 recipes, the Grammy-nominated singer and songwriter will highlight her top five “foolproof” recipes and share “capsule collections” for all mealtimes and occasions.
