Love Island USA host Ariana Madix is not here for the season 7 slander.

In the comments section of a TikTok the host shared on Monday, June 23, Ariana received some feedback from viewers frustrated over the eliminations.

“For the love of god Ariana do something about this dud of a season,” read one comment, to which the host replied, “I love this season.”

There was another viewer who called season 7 “soo boring” to watch.

‘Love Island’ Gives Fan Favorite Couple a Happy Ending Amid Divisive Exits

“A a lot of us aren’t watching anymore,” they added. Ariana made it clear she disagreed, writing, “On the edge of my seat every episode. Maybe we watch a different show.”

Love Island, which originally premiered in the U.K. in 2002, follows a different group of singles every season who have to pair off in order to stay in the show’s luxury villa. The franchise has since expanded worldwide with Love Island USA starting in 2019 and gaining a lot of attention during season 6 in 2024.

As a result, a record number of fans have tuned into to season 7 and islanders Ace Greene, Amaya Espinal, Austin Shepard, Chelley Bissainthe, Cierra Ortega, Hannah Fields, Huda Mustafa, Iris Kendall, Jalen Brown, Jeremiah Brown, Pepe Garcia, Nic Vansteenberghe, Olandria Carthen, Taylor Williams and Charlie Georgiou have been in the hot seat as fans tune in every day — except Wednesday — to watch their attempts to find love.

As the online chatter has escalated, Ariana has called out the problematic behavior.

“I do want to say something to some of those people who are online,” Ariana said during the Saturday, June 21, episode of Aftersun. “Don’t be contacting people’s families. Don’t be doxxing people.”

Ariana reminded people to take a step back.

“Don’t be going on islanders’ pages and saying rude things. You still have time to delete all of that because the islanders don’t have their phones,” she noted. “So we are giving you a chance because this is a fun, amazing and beautiful show. We should be thanking each one of these islanders every single day for giving us themselves.”

‘Love Island USA’ Status Check: Which Couples Are Still Together?

The drama didn’t stop there, though. In addition to social media users contacting islanders’ loved ones, some took to blaming crew members involved in the show for decisions such as eliminations and challenge twists.

Love Island USA‘s narrator Iain Stirling even had to make a rare comment about the controversy.

“Lots of you are saying lots of nice things about Love Island this year. I do really appreciate it. But there’s just one little thing I would like to clear up,” he said on Monday, June 23, in a Tik Tok.

The voice actor clarified he has “absolutely no control” over what happens in the villa. “If they asked me to say it, I will say it,” Iain noted. “So please stop messaging me and asking me. I can’t. I wish I could help you out but I can’t.”

Peacock issued an official statement halfway through the Casa Amor episode on Tuesday, June 24, which read, “The keyword in Love Island is … love. We love our fans. We love our islanders.”

The statement requested that viewers choose kindness. “We don’t love cyberbullying, harassment or hate,” the message concluded.

New episodes of Love Island USA are released six days a week — except for Wednesdays — on Peacock.
