LINCOLN — Save A Life Recovery Resource Center is thrilled to announce the return of its highly anticipated Battle of the Bands, happening Friday, June 28 at 5 p.m. at 19 VFW St. in Lincoln. This free, substance-free, family-friendly event promises an unforgettable evening of music, community and creativity — rain or shine!
Nine talented local Maine bands will take the stage, competing for a coveted spot as the opening act of Lincoln’s Annual Loon Festival. Before the battle kicks off, the night will begin with a lively open mic session — giving community members a chance to share their voices and be part of the celebration.
While enjoying the music, guests can cool down with sweet treats from The Darlings Ice Cream Truck, which will be serving up frozen favorites throughout the evening.
“This event is about more than music,” said Ashley Mitchell, a representative from Save A Life. “It’s about creating a safe space for connection, expression, and joy — open to all.”
Whether you’re here to cheer on your favorite band, grab an ice cream cone, or take the mic yourself, come be part of a night that celebrates the best of what community can be.
