In the Thursday, June 19, season 3 episode of the Sex and the City spinoff, Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker) traveled to Virginia to spend time with long-distance boyfriend Aidan Shaw (John Corbett) and his three sons.
After a travel mishap left her luggage behind in a stranded rental car, Carrie picked up a few items from Daisy’s Dress Shop. (During a phone call with Cynthia Nixon‘s Miranda, the ever-fashionable journalist joked that the frocks were fit for “sister wives.”)
Carrie ended up picking a periwinkle, long-sleeved floral dress with white trim and delicate buttons down the front. She accessorized her ensemble with a pair of copper-colored, strappy heels.

“If these shoes could tell some stories… 
,” the TV show’s Instagram account wrote via Instagram on Friday, June 20, revealing that Parker, now 60, has worn the same shoes before.
Parker initially rocked the maroon pumps during the cover shoot for the 2010 Sex and the City 2 film. At the time, she coordinated the shoes with a strapless, black-and-yellow gown.
Parker has amassed an enviable wardrobe starring as Carrie since SATC premiered in 1998. The HBO hit ran for six seasons, later spawning two feature-length films before AJLT debuted in 2021.
“I don’t really have as many clothes as people think,” Parker said on the “Call Her Daddy” podcast earlier this week, noting that she wears “nothing” from Carrie’s wardrobe in her daily life. “I keep in my personal closet — everything else is in an archive — this belt that I named Roger. It’s a [studded leather] belt from later years’ episode that Carrie wore a lot.”
She added, “It was, I think, in the movie and it’s reappeared. Carrie first wore it when she was shopping in DVF in the Meatpacking [District] and she had on a pink linen shift and around her waist was a hard leather belt [that was] vintage. … I have never sent that to archive.”
