Savannah Chrisley had a lot to say about rumors that mom Julie Chrisley faked her breast cancer.
“I really want to address something,” Savannah, 27, said on the Tuesday, June 17, episode of her “Unlocked” podcast. “I was getting my coffee across the street this morning and I was looking through social media and I saw to where someone commented that my family was this fraud and we’re terrible human beings XYZ, and how my mother faked her breast cancer diagnosis.”
Savannah noted that she was “dumbfounded” by the accusation in the comments section.
“Apparently, she faked her breast cancer diagnosis to avoid court proceedings was what this individual said,” Savannah continued. (While this episode was released on Tuesday, it was recorded prior to Julie and Todd Chrisley’s prison release last month.)

She was quick to clarify during Tuesday’s podcast episode that Julie, 52, was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2012.
“They weren’t federally or criminally charged until 2019,” she added. “So, that right there completely debunks your whole theory.”
The couple was indicted on tax evasion, along with bank and wire fraud charges, in 2019. They were convicted in 2022 and received a combined 19-year sentence. Both Todd and Julie reported to prison in January 2023, and their respective sentences were reduced while they were behind bars.
The couple was pardoned by President Donald Trump and subsequently released from prison in late May.
During Tuesday’s podcast episode, Savannah reflected on her mom’s cancer journey. She recalled finding out that Julie was diagnosed with breast cancer after Todd, 56, picked her up from school one day. Savannah also shared that Julie underwent a double mastectomy and full hysterectomy to ensure that the cancer didn’t come back.

“Her cancer was estrogen-driven and so they wanted to get rid of all of her female parts that produced estrogen. Then she basically went through menopause at the age of 39,” Savannah continued. “She went through the whole process, she had two or three reconstructive surgeries. She slept in a recliner for what I feel like was probably a year beside their bed with my dad because she couldn’t stand to lay all the way down.”
Savannah added, “For someone to make an accusation that my mother lied about having breast cancer at the age of 39, there truly is a special place in hell for you. It’s that simple. There’s a special place in hell for you, and I hope you feel good about yourself.”
