A vintage clothing store is closing after nearly three years in downtown Bangor.
White Lobster Vintage, at 10 Harlow St., is closing, store owner Chris Bryant posted on Instagram. He opened the store in October 2022 after collecting and selling vintage items online.
The store is set to close around June 28, according to Instagram posts from White Lobster. Online sales and vintage markets will be a renewed focus for the brand.
Bryant declined to comment on the store closing but said shoes are on clearance and vintage clothing is 20 percent off.
The brick-and-mortar shop opened after five years of online sales as another place to sell his curated vintage t-shirts, sweatshirts, sneakers and more, Bryant previously told the Bangor Daily News. He has large collections of University of Maine and Portland Sea Dogs gear, as well as a wide selection of pop culture items.
White Lobster Property Management is coming soon, according to the store’s Instagram.
The Harlow Street vintage storefront is open around 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., every day except Sunday, according to White Lobster’s Instagram.
A new store, Log Jam Vintage, opened next door at 8 Harlow St. in late May. Two other vintage and consignment stores, Red Rabbit Bazaar and Cool Girl Collective, are also open in the greater downtown area.
