There’s something about action that pairs really well with the summer. And this weekend, Netflix is all about the action.

But people can’t live on action alone, and there always seems to be an enticing true crime documentary to keep us busy on these long weekends.

To get you ready for the next three days, the Watch With Us team has shared our picks for the three underrated Netflix shows to watch this weekend.

This week’s picks include a network show that’s found a new audience on Netflix, the return of the world’s biggest action icon and a documentary that you have to see to believe.

‘Blindspot’ (2015 – 2020)

Netflix subscribers have already warmed up to Blindspot, a crime drama that debuted on NBC nearly a decade ago. Jaimie Alexander stars as Jane Doe, an unidentified woman found in a bag in Times Square with no memory of who she is or where she came from. Jane’s body is also covered in tattoos, one of which names FBI special agent Kurt Weller (Sullivan Stapleton).

Although Weller doesn’t know Jane, he and his team come to realize that her tattoos are actually clues for crimes that they’re meant to solve with Jane’s help. The show takes a lot of twists and turns through its 100 episodes across five seasons, and it should keep you binge-viewing well into the summer.

Blindspot is streaming on Netflix.

‘Cocaine Air: Smugglers at 30,000 Feet’ (2025)

There are so many true crime stories happening in America that you may have missed the one at the heart of Cocaine Air: Smugglers at 30,000 Ft. In 2013, four French citizens — two former pilots and two passengers — were arrested on a plane in the Dominican Republic for allegedly attempting to smuggle 700kg of cocaine in 26 suitcases.

The street value of those drugs was immense, but this open-and-shut case wasn’t as open-and-shut as it seemed. This three-part documentary dives into the wild story that followed, including trials, escape attempts and a lot of unanswered questions over a decade later.

Cocaine Air: Smugglers at 30,000 Feet is streaming on Netflix.

‘FUBAR’ (2023 – Present)

Arnold Schwarzenegger and Monica Barbaro are back as father-and-daughter CIA agents Luke and Emma Brunner in FUBAR season 2. Last season ended with the Brunners and their team on the run after their identities were leaked to their enemies. Season 2 picks up with everyone in witness protection for their own safety. But it won’t take long to get called back for a new mission.

This 2015 Mystery Series Is Popular on Netflix — Here’s Why You Should Binge It

Greta Nelso (Carrie-Anne Moss) — a former East German spy and an old acquaintance of Luke — has resurfaced after being MIA for decades. Although Greta still seems to have the hots for Luke, she’s also put a diabolical plan in motion that’s going to take both Brunners to stop — if Luke and Emma can get back on the same page again.

FUBAR is streaming on Netflix.
