Lindsie Chrisley has remained largely tight-lipped about dad Todd Chrisley in recent years— but she just made a rare comment about their dynamic following his release from prison.

During the Wednesday, June 11, episode of her “Southern Tea” podcast, Lindsie, 35, shared a story about her childhood, saying, “I kind of grew up in a house where on the weekends my parents didn’t really care what time we were staying up until. As long as we weren’t disturbing anybody else in the house, that’s fine.”

Lindsie specifically recalled Todd’s parenting style. “If it gets to be 10 a.m., Todd is coming in to wake your ass up,” she noted. “Like, ‘You’re not sleeping like that.’ He’s like, ‘It’s time to go — you gotta be productive.’ And you better have your hair fixed and your makeup better be done. Doesn’t matter if you’re roaming around the house.”

She continued: “When I got to college, I had never felt so more relieved in my life to be [at a point in my life where] I can bum around in a pair of sweats with no makeup on and with my hair on top of my head. And no one’s gonna slander me.”

Lindsie doesn’t often mention Todd, 56, on her multiple podcasts. She has yet to really react on the news that Todd and his wife, Julie Chrisley, were released in May after President Donald Trump pardoned the former reality TV stars.

Todd and Julie, 52, who is Lindsie’s stepmother, were indicted in 2019 on charges of tax evasion, bank and wire fraud and conspiracy. After being found guilty in 2022, Todd was sentenced to 12 years in prison. Julie received a seven-year sentence. The couple maintained their innocence and continued to appeal their sentences, which were reduced in September 2023 by nearly two years.

After the news broke, Lindsie took to Instagram with a subtle reaction, writing, “With God all things are possible.” Lindsie was previously on the outs with Todd, which was documented on Chrisley Knows Best, but they seemed to mend their issues before he started serving out his prison sentence.

Chrisley Family’s Quotes About Todd and Julie’s Prison Sentence

“There were some rumors that went around after our last podcast episode that the reason that I have not seen Julie was because she doesn’t want to see me, and that is just untrue,” she said on a 2023 episode of her podcast “Finally, I have been able to communicate over [her prison’s] form of email for the first time, but also her email is very delayed. Dad’s is very different. You can send him an email and you will hear back within maybe two hours.”

Ahead of Todd and Julie’s pardons, Lindsie tried to recall the last time she saw them.

“The last time I visited my dad, probably … was it the beginning of last year?” she said on her “Southern Tea” podcast in March. “I can’t even honestly remember. … I have not seen my dad in quite some time and I have had no contact. And that’s all I’m going to say for that.”
