Justin Bieber is coming to Sexyy Red’s defense after Ray J claimed that he slept with her.
Sexyy, 27, and Ray J, 44, were embroiled in a social media back-and-forth on Sunday, June 8, after Ray J claimed during a recent Twitch livestream that he slept with her. Noticing a clip of his remarks circulating on Instagram, Sexyy took to her Instagram Stories to post a screenshot of a direct message conversation in which she confronted the “One Wish” singer and denied the allegations.
“Cornball azx lyin on ya meat is weird,” she wrote over the screenshot. “Play in yo a* not [with me].”
She added, “Even to be sayin we ‘slept’ on the plane together … I said hi and kept it pushin … is you [cool cuz]?”
In the DM exchange, Sexyy wrote directly to Ray J, “So dis what doin playing wit people name on da internet?” Ray J responded that he was just “playin” and “trolling,” and offered Sexyy his apologies. “I’ll make it right and I’m really sorry Sexyy,” he wrote back, adding that he would apologize publicly via his livestream too.
Though Ray J appeared to want to make amends, Bieber, 31, was not impressed. Resharing the “Get It Sexyy” rapper’s post to his own Instagram Story, he wrote, “This rubs me real wrong … Sorry [Sexyy Red] u the goat.”
For his part, Ray J did fulfill his promise to clear things up publicly via his Twitch stream later on Sunday.
“I want to apologize to Sexyy Red,” he said, per Complex. “Sexyy Red is one of my favorite artists.”

“Sexyy Red and I was on a plane. We were both flying somewhere. We randomly saw each other. She was sitting by me. She had her space. I had my space. She had her own blanket, her own pillow. I had my own blanket and my own pillow,” Ray J clarified his earlier remarks. “And we had a long flight. We both were tired, so we went to sleep. Just like we would sleep with anybody else that was sitting next to us on a plane.”
“I went out of control and I said that I slept with Sexyy Red,” he continued. “That’s insensitive and it’s not okay and it’s trolling at the highest level. I want to say, Sexyy Red, my bad. I hope this gets out there and this gets clipped and this gets shown.”
