A family-owned restaurant in North Bend, Oregon reacted to Jason Kelce giving them a glowing review following a surprise visit.
“You never know who you will run into here,” The Pancake Mill Restaurant and Pie Shoppe posted via Facebook on Wednesday, June 4.
The establishment, which has been open since 1981, reposted Kelce’s message about his dining experience, which included a picture of the former NFL superstar, 37, standing outside giving two thumbs up.
“Driving in North Bend OR. Found this incredible spot on the side of the road,” Kelce shared via Instagram on Wednesday. “Service was patient, food was great, nick-nacks for sale, adorable, great pancakes, and cream cheese pie.”

Kelce explained that the restaurant had him feeling nostalgic for the home cooking of his mom, Donna Kelce.
“Donna used to make a strawberry cream cheese pie growing up, so it felt extra special,” Jason wrote. “If you catch yourself out this way, enjoyed this quaint spot very much.”
Jason shared a photo of the strawberry cream cheese pie, as well as a photo of the rest of his table, which included pancakes, crepes and a sandwich that appeared to be the Pancake Mill’s B.L.T.A., a traditional bacon, lettuce and tomato sandwich with avocado.
It is not clear why Kelce was in Oregon, but followers of the Pancake Mill on Facebook were thrilled to see the “New Heights” cohost in their neck of the woods.
“That’s pretty cool,” one person commented on the restaurant’s post. “He seems like a fun dude.”
Another wrote, “Go Birds! 
Love that you either didn’t know who he was or you let him eat in peace. Either way, it was a win for him. So happy he didn’t miss the opportunity to have the best breakfast, pie and service on the Bay while he was in town!”
Jason — who welcomed his fourth daughter, Finn, with his wife, Kylie Kelce, on March 30 — looked noticeably slimmer than his playing days in his photo outside the Pancake Mill.

Last month, Jason revealed he had lost 25 pounds since retiring from the NFL in March 2024.
In a video shared by the PGA from the 2025 Truist Championship pro-am in Philadelphia, Jason said he had trimmed down to 270 pounds after playing at 295.
In June 2024, three months after announcing his retirement, the ex-Philadelphia Eagles center said he had already begun the process of losing weight.
“Right now, I’m about 277. I’m almost 20 pounds down right now,” Jason told GQ at the time. “It’s hard to imagine another nearly 20 pounds coming off, being honest with you. But my back already feels better. My knees already feel better. So another 20 pounds hopefully will make that much more adept at playing with my children.”
