Elizabeth Igwe, PMHNP-BC is a graduate of Grand Canyon University in Arizona where she received a bachelor of science in nursing. She went on to earn a master’s in nursing from Walden University in 2024. Elizabeth is certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.

When asked to describe her treatment philosophy, Elizabeth shared, “Empathy, compassion, and respect are at the core of my being. These basic tenets have guided my nursing career for 18 years and defined my approach to patient care.” She continued, “Beyond my direct patient care responsibilities, I am a passionate advocate for mental health awareness and destigmatization through the power of education and community outreach.”

Elizabeth prides herself on offering her patients a safe trusted place to receive care. She describes herself as caring, compassionate, kind, and culturally oriented.

Katie Hager, MSN, PMHNP-BC holds three separate nursing degrees – an associate’s degree fromKatie Hager, PMHNP-BC Eastern Maine Community College and bachelor’s and master’s from the University of Maine at Fort Kent. She is accredited by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.

Katie’s care philosophy is one rooted in trust and respect which she believes are paramount to good mental health care. “People can and do change their circumstances for the better when given resources they can understand and use,” she says. “I believe all hope is never lost but can be reborn in our darkest moments by simple, genuine expressions of kindness and compassion.”

One of the things Katie tells us she is enjoying most about Acadia is its multi-disciplinary teams. “I’m thrilled to be joining Northern Light Acadia, where so many disciplines are found under one roof, and everyone is so collaborative.”

Abimbola “Bola” Iwegbulam, PMHNP-BC began her medical career when she graduated from theBola Iwegbulam, PMHNP School of Nursing at Usmanu Danfodiyo University Teaching Hospital in Nigeria in 2008. She went on to complete her bachelor’s in nursing from Grand Canyon University in Arizona before receiving a master’s in nursing from Purdue University Global. She is certified as a PMHNP by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.

“My care philosophy is centered on providing compassionate, patient-centered care that addresses the whole person,” says Bola. “I am committed to evidence-based practice and ensuring that my clinical decisions are guided by the latest research and best practices.”

Deeply dedicated to providing compassionate, non-judgmental, and patient centered care, Bola stresses to her patients that they are not alone, and she is there to listen, support and help them navigate their mental health journey with care and understanding.
