Downtown Bangor umbrella art installation returns this evening

Umbrella Sky, a collaboration between the Downtown Bangor Partnership and sponsor Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center, debuted in 2023 and returned to Cross Street again last year .

Cross Street lies between Main and Columbia streets.

There will be a launch party from 5-7 p.m., according to the Downtown Bangor Partnership.

The installation debuted in Portugal in 2012, and since then, it has appeared in counties across the globe.
