Hoda Kotb is focusing on her own wellness journey while helping others kickstart their own.

The former Today host, 60, shared clips of her impressive workout routine via Instagram on Tuesday, June 3. “Let’s start this day! Happy Tuesday XO,” she captioned the post, the first slide of which featured a clip of herself lifting a heavy barbell on her shoulders while squatting.

In other videos, Kotb tested her strength by throwing medicine balls and pushing a weight sled. Her trainer, Brian Harrington, shared the same clips via his Instagram on Monday, June 2, along with other videos of the TV personality doing dumbbell chest presses, kettlebell lifts and other exercises.

“It has been such a pleasure to be a part of @hodakotb fitness and wellness journey,” Harrington wrote alongside the videos. “5:30am is never too early when you bring the energy and excitement that she brings each morning. Go check out the new health and wellness app that she launched @joy101.”

Hoda Kotb’s Next Career Moves After ‘Today’ Exit: Wellness App and More

Kotb reshared Harrington’s original post via her Instagram Story on Monday, writing, “Let’s go!!!”

Kotb bid farewell to the Today show back in January to develop her own wellness brand. “I have been so turned on by the wellness space because I realized what was happening to me,” she explained on an October 2024 episode of Today With Hoda & Jenna, one month after announcing her Today departure. “I tried different things and I noticed my body was calmer. I was getting sick less. I was feeling better. I was a better parent, a better friend, a better sister, a better daughter. And I thought, all these tiny things I was doing day after day were helping to change me inside.”

She returned to the NBC morning show for the first time since her exit on Wednesday, May 28, to officially launch her new business, Joy 101. “You hit a button and automatically curated for you is a special program,” she explained to Savannah Guthrie and Craig Melvin. “If you want prayer, it’s on the app. If you want meditation, it’s on the app. If you want help going to sleep, it’s all on there. And so, we’re also gonna have courses. We’re gonna do all kinds of cool things. We’re gonna have retreats. It’s the stuff that we love.”

On Wednesday’s episode of Today With Jenna & Friends, Kotb credited her former cohost, Jenna Bush Hager, with sparking her interest in wellness by telling her to take a breathwork class. “I did one session with this woman and I exploded in tears and I was transformed,” she said on the show. “And from that moment on, you and I have been on the exact same path. … And breathwork led to meditation and deep prayer. All the things that we love were all in one spot.”

In addition to an app launching on June 11, Joy 101’s ventures will include a 2026 JoyFest event along with other in-person retreats where fans can connect with Kotb and experts in the wellness field. Joy 101’s “Joy Collective” includes members from a variety of backgrounds, including TV star Joanna Gaines, WNBA commissioner Cathy Engelbert, journalist and Kotb’s close friend Maria Shriver and more.
