Savannah Chrisley is opening up about how her parents, Todd and Julie Chrisley, will celebrate their reunion after being released from prison.
“My parents have not spoken to each other, heard each other’s voices or seen each other in the past two and a half years,” the 27-year-old told a local news outlet on Wednesday, May 28, while arriving in Pensacola, Florida, to retrieve her father from federal prison.
According to Savannah, the family planned on meeting up in Nashville — her brother was picking up Julie, 52, from her own detention center in Kentucky — and the timing of Todd, 56, and his wife’s releases couldn’t have been better.
“Their 29th wedding anniversary was May 25, so we’re only a few days out from that,” Savannah said. “So when they reunite, we’re going to celebrate birthdays, anniversaries, Christmases, all the things, because we’re going to make up for lost time.”

Savannah also sent a message to the fans who cheered her on as she fought for her parents’ freedom. “For all the individuals that are here that supported my family thank you, thank you,” she added.

Todd and Julie were convicted on fraud charges in 2022 following their 2019 indictments. Julie was sentenced to seven years in prison, which she served in Kentucky, while her husband received a 12-year sentence and reported to Florida. Their sentences were each reduced by nearly two years as the pair maintained their innocence.
News broke on Tuesday, May 27, that President Donald Trump planned to pardon the couple. “It’s a terrible thing but it’s a great thing, because your parents are going to be free and clean,” he told Savannah over the phone in a video shared via social media. “I hope we can do it by tomorrow. I don’t know them, but give them my regards. Wish them a good life.”
Trump, 78, claimed that Todd and Julie faced “pretty harsh treatment” amid their legal drama. “Congratulate your parents,” he continued. “I hear they’re terrific people. This should not have happened. … They have good children. You’re no longer children, but I’ll say it anyway. They have good children, don’t they?”
Savannah celebrated her parents’ release in a statement to Us Weekly on Tuesday, noting that she will “continue to use [her] voice and platform to advocate for those who do not have one” and “will never stop fighting for what is right.”

“Today is a victory for our family, but the fight against wrongful convictions and injustice within our prison system is far from over,” she added.
Along with Savannah, Todd and Julie share sons Chase, 28, and Grayson, 19. Todd also has two older children — Lindsie and Kyle Chrisley — from his marriage to ex-wife Teresa Terry.
In the wake of her parents’ sentencing, Savannah was the primary caregiver for Grayson and Kyle’s 12-year-old daughter, Chloe, who was adopted by Todd and Julie in 2016.
“Chloe, I think, is still in shock. She doesn’t want to get her hopes up because she feels like something bad is going to happen,” Savannah said on the Tuesday broadcast of NewsNation’s On Balance. “I’m excited to be going to get my dad and [bring] him home to her. We’re excited.”
