The Bangor walk-in care center on Union Street is cutting back hours for the next three weeks.
The Northern Light Walk-In Care will be closed from Tuesday to Thursday this week, according to the Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center Facebook page. The center will also be closed on June 4, June 5, June 11 and June 12.
Northern Light said the closures are due to “staffing challenges” that the health care system is working to address.
These closures follow Northern Light cutting the clinic’s hours to three days a week last August before bringing back six-day-a-week hours in November.
Similarly, the Millinocket Regional Hospital is temporarily cutting its walk-in care on Fridays from through July 4. Millinocket also stated “staffing challenges” for the closures.
Northern Light suggests any individual that needs care to see their primary care provider or call 911 for emergencies. They can also visit EMMC’s emergency department at 489 State St.
