There will be no parking on Bangor’s State Street bridge on Wednesday.
That parking ban will allow Bangor Public Works to paint the crosswalk between 2 Hammond St. and 3 State St., according to an alert from the city.
That comes as the city has been repaving streets in downtown ahead of the summer tourist season.
Last week, the city became a target of ire when it implemented a downtown parking ban with little notice to residents and businesses. In response, the city has promised to reimburse the $230 impound fee for anyone whose car was towed because of the parking ban.
