A power feed loss from Canada is being blamed for some 10,500 customers in Aroostook County losing their power Sunday morning.
That’s about 25 percent of Versant’s customers in Aroostook County.
The outage, which affected Versant Power customers in Fort Kent, Frenchville, Madawaska, St. Agatha and surrounding towns, was reported around 10:15 a.m.
Versant spokesperson Marissa Minor said the company’s crews were on their way to restore power as soon as possible.
