Mainer accused of harassing flagger and wanted in Texas found hiding in closet
A Baldwin man wanted in Texas has been arrested after he allegedly harassed a flagger.
Daryl Terry, 26, was wanted by Maine and Texas authorities for warrants for failing to appear in court on a traffic charge and being a felon in possession of a weapon, according to the York County Sheriff’s Office.
Terry came to the attention of police in April when he allegedly harassed a road flagger in Waterboro when he had to stop for construction vehicles. During that encounter, Terry allegedly used profanity.
Deputies made numerous attempts to find Terry unsuccessfully until Wednesday when police found him hiding in a closet in an apartment in Springvale, the sheriff’s office said Thursday.
He was taken to the York County Jail in Alfred, where he was being held without bail while waiting to be sent to Texas.
