During her second day of witness testimony, Cassie shared even more insight into Sean “Diddy” Combs’ alleged “freak offs.”
Cassie, 38, testified that she suffered from persistent urinary tract infections because of the parties. Despite the “horrible” pain, Cassie would continue to perform.
“Sometimes [the freak offs] were back to back,” Cassie, who is currently pregnant with her and husband Alex Fine’s third baby, recalled on the witness stand. “And I was doing the freak off with an infection. … It just was a mess, really painful for a long time.”
According to Cassie (real name Casandra Ventura), she subsequently developed an addiction to opiates after relying on the medication to “come down” and numb herself from the extreme physical exertion of the allegedly lengthy freak offs.

Cassie and Diddy, now 55, dated on and off from 2007 to 2018. Five years later, Cassie named Diddy in a November 2023 lawsuit, accusing him of repeated physical abuse and sexual assault for a decade. They settled the case out of court within a day.
“Just so we’re clear, a decision to settle a lawsuit, especially in 2023, is in no way an admission of wrongdoing,” his attorney Ben Brafman said in a statement shared with Us Weekly. “Mr. Combs’ decision to settle the lawsuit does not in any way undermine his flat-out denial of the claims. He is happy they got to a mutual settlement and wishes Ms. Ventura the best.”
Diddy was indicted by a grand jury and arrested in September 2024 on charges of sex trafficking, racketeering conspiracy and transportation to engage in prostitution. The disgraced music mogul vehemently denied all allegations and pleaded not guilty.
“We are disappointed with the decision to pursue what we believe is an unjust prosecution of Mr. Combs by the U.S. Attorney’s Office,” Diddy’s lawyer Marc Agnifilo told Us in a statement at the time. “Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs is a music icon, self-made entrepreneur, loving family man and proven philanthropist who has spent the last 30 years building an empire, adoring his children and working to uplift the Black community. He is an imperfect person, but he is not a criminal.”

A jury trial began earlier this week, featuring Cassie’s witness testimony about their relationship and the alleged abuse she endured throughout it. On Tuesday, May 13, the “Me & U” singer claimed that Diddy “controlled a lot of my life.”
“He had many resources to do that,” she said, noting that she feared Diddy would end up blackmailing her had she said no to one of his requests. “It was always in the back of my mind that I would somehow be hurt by him.”
Cassie also likened attending Diddy’s gatherings to another job, testifying, “The freak offs became a job where there was no space to do anything else but to recover and just try to feel normal again.”
