A former Eddington man was arrested in Alabama for allegedly starting a fire that damaged a restaurant on Route 9 last summer.
Luther Green, 42, of Banks, Alabama, was charged with arson and burglary, according to Shannon Moss, a spokesperson for the Maine Department of Public Safety.
Green allegedly started a fire on July 3, 2024, that damaged the closed Heritage on 9 Restaurant and Tavern on Route 9, also known as Main Road, Moss said Monday morning.
Green was arrested in Alabama and flown back to Maine to face those charges.
The fire remains under investigation.
No additional information was released Monday morning.
