Not every movie that hits the theater is fortunate enough to become a hit. And some movies never even make it into theaters at all!

Fortunately, streaming services have made it a lot easier for the unsung films to eventually find an audience online.

That’s why Watch With Us has put together this roundup of the three overlooked movies you should stream in May 2025.

This month’s selections include an under-the-radar horror flick, a bare-bones drama and a thriller that might be the final film directed by a cinematic icon.

7 Must-See Horror Movies to Watch Right Now (April 2025)

‘Cuckoo’ (2024)

A teenage girl named Gretchen (Hunter Schafer) suffers a head injury early in Cuckoo, but the horror she experiences is no delusion. Gretchen has been unwillingly relocated to the German Alps with her father, Luis (Marton Csokas), her stepmother, Beth (Jessica Henwick), and their daughter, Alma (Mila Lieu). It was supposed to be a fresh start for the family following the death of Gretchen’s biological mother.  However, there is something unsettling happening in this resort town, particularly with the female guests.

Gretchen has seen an enigmatic hooded woman (Kalin Morrow) preying on the guests. Even in Gretchen’s wildest dreams, she could never have predicted how the strange events taking place around her are linked to a family secret that she was never meant to discover. Learning the truth just might get her killed.

Cuckoo is streaming on Hulu.

‘Daddio’ (2024)

Daddio is about as stripped down as a movie gets. Almost the entire runtime is spent in a cab, as the driver, Clark (Sean Penn), speaks with his passenger (Dakota Johnson), during a very long car ride from the airport. Writer and director Christy Hall makes the most out of her two leads, but the film isn’t dependent on their star power. Instead, Penn disappears into the blue-collar persona of his character, while Johnson is convincing as a woman who is trying to figure things out about her life and herself.

5 Must-Watch Drama Movies on Amazon Prime Video Right Now (April 2025)

The audience is essentially a fly on the wall for their interactions as the passenger slowly shares more details about herself and what she’s dealing with. Clark is a bit more open, and he leaves the impression that this isn’t the first profound conversation he’s led from the front of a taxi cab. This isn’t a movie that’s trying to surprise the audience, but viewers may be impressed by how much drama it gets out of so little budget.

Daddio is streaming on Netflix.

‘Juror #2’ (2024)

The jury is still out as to whether Juror #2 will be the final film in the long and storied career of director Clint Eastwood. But if this is the end of Eastwood’s time behind the camera, then he went out with a terrific legal thriller. James Michael Sythe (Gabriel Basso) is the man on trial for killing his girlfriend, and the prosecutor, Faith Killebrew (Toni Collette), is hoping to use the high-profile case to propel herself to winning an election for District Attorney.

Justin Kemp (Nicholas Hoult) is the titular second juror at the trial, and he’s got a big secret. Not only was he present at the bar where Sythe was last seen with his girlfriend, he may have accidentally killed her himself while driving home drunk. Justin doesn’t want to let an innocent man suffer for what he did, but he also doesn’t want to destroy his own life by confessing. As a compromise, Justin does everything in his power to convince the jury that James is innocent, but it’s an uphill battle from the start. Will justice prevail? And if it does, who does it serve best — James or Justin?

Juror #2 is streaming on Max.
