A tractor-trailer nearly hit a veterinary clinic in Lyman on Thursday morning.
John Turner of Readfield was driving the tractor-trailer on Route 111, also known as Alfred Road, when he lost control, veered off the road and into the parking lot of Southern Maine Veterinary Clinic, according to the York County Sheriff’s Office.
Turner didn’t hit the clinic’s building, but the tractor-trailer brought down power lines.
The crash took out phone lines for the animal clinic, which wasn’t yet opened for the day. Southern Maine Veterinary Clinic closed for the day and rescheduled Thursday’s appointments. The clinic said Friday morning that it was still experiencing phone and internet service problems.
The tractor-trailer is owned by Dube Environmental Inc.
Turner was treated for minor injuries at the scene and released.
The crash remains under investigation.
