Brittany Cartwright has no regrets about discussing the disappointment she had over her sex life with ex Jax Taylor.
Cartwright, 36, clapped back at critics who claimed she was oversharing, writing via Instagram on Wednesday, April 30, “Let’s be clear, I was ASKED this question on wwhl and it’s my right, after all the s*** I have been through, to answer honestly.”
The response came after Cartwright was asked by Andy Cohen about Taylor’s skills in the bedroom. “Oh, Lord. There was times when he was about a 7 or an 8 but majority of the time, no stamina, no nothing,” she said on the Tuesday, April 29, episode of Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen. “I’d say, a 2 or 3.”
While Taylor, 45, hasn’t publicly addressed Cartwright’s revelation yet, he has been outspoken about his personal life. Taylor’s new podcast, “In the Mind of Jax Taylor,” has brought up NSFW insight — including how he “faked orgasms” in the past.

“We would be having sex and I know it’s not going to happen. So I’ll stop it early and be like, ‘You know what? I really, really like you. I don’t think we should do this right now,’” he admitted last month. “So it takes the pressure off me. And then they’re like, ‘Oh, that’s so sweet.’”
Taylor stood by the method, adding, “I would rather her tell her friends that, ‘He was so sweet that he wanted to wait.’ Rather than, ‘He can’t cum when he’s with me.’ That’s a little more embarrassing.”
One month prior, Taylor referred to himself as a “very late bloomer,” sharing on his podcast, “I grew up in a very conservative neighborhood. I don’t even think I had the sex talk with my dad. Sex wasn’t really a big thing then. I didn’t lose my virginity until I was 19.”
Taylor’s personal life has been in the public eye since his time on Vanderpump Rules. He briefly dated Stassi Schroeder when the season premiered in 2013 before getting caught in a cheating scandal with pal Tom Sandoval‘s then-girlfriend Kristen Doute.
Taylor appeared to find The One in Cartwright but the couple ended their marriage in 2024. More recently, Taylor explained how his substance abuse struggles contributed to the fallout of their relationship.

“I’ve been in and out of using cocaine for awhile. I wouldn’t use it every single day. There would be months I would take off,” he explained in Us Weekly’s March cover story. “And then I would do it like a week here, maybe two times a month or three times a month. It got really bad though. When the divorce started, I felt like I was doing it recreationally.”
Taylor, who shares 4-year-old son Cruz with Cartwright, noted that he is still working on himself every day.
“I had all these other issues because I’m masking loneliness,” he added. “I’m masking the texting women by doing drugs and drinking alcohol. I have all these other issues. So it’s a slow process, which is hard for me because I always look for the quick fix. This is one of those things in life that it’s not a quick fix. You have to work at it. I’m not used to that.”
He concluded: “This is not gonna work that way. That’s not how addiction, sickness and mental health works. People are like, ‘Jax, you’ve done a lot of freaking damage. Like a lot.’ And this is just not going to go away anymore. People have had enough.”
