A Westbrook man allegedly led New Hampshire state troopers on a high-speed chase early Tuesday morning.
Michael A. Wozny, 18, was charged with reckless conduct, disobeying an officer, aggravated driving under the influence of drugs or liquor, endangering the welfare of a child, operating without a valid license, criminal mischief, transportation of alcohol by a minor and reckless conduct, according to the New Hampshire State Police.
Wozny was allegedly driving a 2017 Subaru Legacy about 1:38 a.m. on Interstate 95 in Greenland going 125 mph in a 65-mph zone.
When a trooper attempted to stop Wozny, he allegedly fled, leading troopers on a high-speed chase.
He left I-95 at exit 5 for the Portsmouth Traffic Circle, where Wozny allegedly hit several traffic signs before continuing onto Route 1 Bypass North and coming to a stop, according to the state police.
Wozny allegedly was under the influence and gave police a fake name. When officers confirmed his identity, they found he didn’t have a valid license.
Wozny wasn’t injured in the chase. Two of his minor passengers were treated at the hospital for minor injuries.
Wozny was taken to Rockingham County Jail in Brentwood, where he was held pending his first court appearance later on Tuesday.
