The season 3 cast of the hit HBO series The White Lotus has many talents — and one star is “definitely” interested in showcasing those talents on Dancing With the Stars.
“Dancing With the Stars? Ooh, I would definitely consider that!” Tayme Thapthimthong, who played infamous hotel security guard Gaitok in the latest season of The White Lotus, exclusively told Us Weekly on Thursday, April 24, while attending an event hosted by Jim Thompson in celebration of the brand and The White Lotus.
Thapthimthong, 35, went on to explain that he learned how to dance “from watching music videos” and studying the art in college.
“I mean, I went to [university] for dance, [but] I’d never learned hip hop dance,” he explained. “It was more contemporary and ballet and stuff like that.”
In other words: the actor has some dance moves that would totally help him on the Dancing With the Stars stage.

Those same dance moves also earned Thapthimthong praise from White Lotus costar Natasha Rothwell, who caught a glimpse of his dancing skills during his appearance on The Jennifer Hudson Show when he sashayed his way down the famous tunnel.
Rothwell, who also attended the Thursday event alongside The White Lotus creator Mike White and other members of the season 3 cast, was overheard telling Thapthimthong that she thought he “killed it” during his daytime talk show appearance.
Those of Us who missed his appearance alongside sinder Jennifer Hudson were blessed to get a glimpse of those same hip-swaying moves at this year’s Coachella music festival, where the actor watched fellow White Lotus star Lisa perform on stage.

“I really enjoyed watching that set because I’ve never watched her life before,” Thapthimthong told Us. “I’ve never really put on anything but YouTube videos of her … But when I got to see — because I got to see it right from the start; I got taken into that little VIP box thing — just to see her coming up from the stage and just doing her thing, it was incredible. I’ve never seen her in that light. I see her as just Lisa. As a friend.”
If a future appearance on Dancing With the Stars is not in the cards for Thapthimthong, he does hope he will get a chance to further explore his polarizing White Lotus character after that shocking season 3 ending.
“I would love for him to come back,” the actor told Us. “I think it’ll be so cool to sort of explore him further. He’s been through all that and now he’s working as a bodyguard full-time for Sritala.”
