RuPaul’s Drag Race star Jiggly Caliente has died at the age of 44 following a series of health issues.
Caliente’s (real name Bianca Castro) family announced the news in an emotional statement via Instagram on Sunday, April 27.
“It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Bianca Castro-Arabejo, known to the world and cherished by many as Jiggly Caliente,” the statement read. “Bianca passed away peacefully on April 27, 2025, at 4:42 am, surrounded by her loving family and close friends.”

“A luminous presence in the worlds of entertainment and advocacy, Jiggly Caliente was celebrated for her infectious energy, fierce wit, and unwavering authenticity. She touched countless lives through her artistry, activism, and the genuine connection she fostered with fans around the world,” it continued.
The statement went on to describe Caliente’s legacy as “one of love, courage, and light.”
“Though her physical presence is gone, the joy she shared and the space she helped create for so many will remain forever,” the statement said. “She will be deeply missed, always loved, and eternally remembered.
Caliente’s cause of death has not yet been shared. However, the star recently underwent a series of health complications, including a leg amputation.
On Thursday, April 24, Caliente’s family announced that she endured “the loss of most of her right leg” due to a “severe infection.”
“At this time, we kindly ask for privacy for Bianca and her family, as they navigate this difficult journey together,” the statement read. “While Jiggly concentrates on healing, we invite friends, fans and community to uplift her with messages of hope and love on her social media channels.”

Caliente was born in San Pedro, Philippines on November 29, 1980.
She was a contestant on season 4 of RuPaul’s Drag Race in 2012, where she finished in eighth place. She went on to compete on All Stars 6 before going on to co-host Translation, the first major talk show with an all-trans cast, in 2020.
In 2022, she became a judge on Drag Race Philippines.
In addition to TV, Caliente also had a successful recording career, releasing her debut album, “T.H.O.T. Process,” in 2018.
