While listening to news reports (on MSNBC) and hearing a commentator list some of the people on Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth’s most recent Signal group chat about plans for strikes against Yemen Houthis that included his wife, his brother, and his personal attorney, my husband jokingly added his (Hegseth’s) personal trainer, his dog walker and who knows who else.
Of course, this is no joking matter and it’s the second time sensitive attack plans have been discussed over Signal. This time Hegseth started the chat on his personal phone, which makes the situation even more concerning.
It’s time for Pete Hegseth to resign.
