A man allegedly dealt cocaine and ecstasy out of his garden shop in Lewiston.
Sami-Luqman Muhammad, 38, of Lewiston was charged with aggravated drug trafficking, according to the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency.
His arrest on Monday followed a three-month investigation into drug trafficking in Greater Lewiston.
During that investigation, agents made numerous uncovered drug purchases at Muhammad’s business, The Garden of Via, on Lisbon Street, the MDEA said Wednesday.
Muhammad was arrested after officers saw him leave his Webster Street residence and stopped him in traffic.
A search of his business turned up 150 grams of cocaine and crack cocaine, as well as 545 doses of ecstasy, also known as MDMA, according to the MDEA. During a search of his home, agents reportedly found evidence of drug trafficking and $2,500 in suspected drug proceeds.
He was being held at the Androscoggin County Jail in Auburn on $20,000 bail.
