Elizabeth Hurley and Billy Ray Cyrus actually have quite the holiday-themed history.
Years before they used Easter to seemingly hard launch their romance on Sunday, April 20, the two shared the screen in a movie about a different holiday: Christmas. Hurley, 59, played Joanna Christmas alongside Cyrus, 63, as Jimmy Love in the 2022 holiday flick titled Christmas in Paradise.
Christmas in Paradise, which was distributed by Netflix, was a follow up to the 2021 movie Father Christmas Is Back and added the surprise addition of Cyrus.
“The opportunity to work with Billy Ray, whom I’ve long been a fan of — my son was the age where he used to watch Hannah Montana all the time, so of course, I used to watch it with him,” Hurley said in an interview with MovieWeb about her then-costar. “I knew Billy Ray really well from that, and of course, some of his music. That was a big plus.”

Hurley appeared to be referring to son Damian Hurley, whom she shares with the late Steve Bing.
Despite sharing the screen for this holiday film, details about Hurley and Cyrus’ close-knit relationship have been kept under wraps over the years — until recently.
Hurley shared a photo on Sunday of her keeping it casual alongside Cyrus, who was kissing her on the cheek.
“Happy Easter,” the captioned the joint Instagram post, which received some major reactions.
Hurley’s son, Damian, seemingly confirmed that his mom and Cyrus were more than friends, leaving party and heart emoji in the comments section. (Cyrus’ rep had no comment. Us Weekly has also reached out to Hurley’s team for comment.)
Details about Cyrus’ love life have made quite the headlines as of late. The singer’s apparent romance with Hurley comes after his August 2024 divorce from Firerose, months after they got married in October 2023.

(Billy Ray adopted Brandi and Trace, Tish’s kids from a past relationship. He is also the father to 33-year-old son Christopher, whom he shares with Kristin Luckey.)
Hurley, for her part, is also no stranger to experiencing relationships in the public eye. She was married to Indian businessman Arun Nayar from 2007 to 2010. The actress was also romantically linked to Bing, who died in June 2020 at age 55 and cricket star Shane Warne. Hurley was also in a 13-year-long romance with Hugh Grant from 1987 to 2000.
