The Maine Discovery Museum will remain closed for a few more days.
The museum in downtown Bangor closed to the public on March 31 and was expected to reopen April 7 after an HVAC system upgrade and treehouse renovation.
Now that closure has been extended through this Thursday. The public will again be able to explore the museum’s offerings Friday.
ABM Mechanical Inc. began replacing the museum’s heating and cooling system on Feb. 24, which the museum said has been years in the making.
The museum has spent the past six months raising funds to renovate the treehouse exhibit, but said Monday that there is still work to do to reach its $10,000 goal for the project.
