Cooper Flagg and the Duke Blue Devils are back in action Saturday night with an Elite Eight matchup against the Alabama Crimson tide.
The game is scheduled to start at 8:49 p.m. at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. The winner will emerge from the East Regional of the NCAA men’s basketball tournament and head to the Final Four in San Antonio, Texas.
Duke is the No. 1 seed in the region and Alabama is No. 2.
How to watch
Saturday night’s game will be televised on TBS and truTV, and can be streamed on multiple platforms that broadcast TBS including Hulu + Live TV, YouTube TV, HBO streaming platform Max and Sling TV. These platforms require subscriptions but may also offer free trials.
The game will also be streamed on the NCAA’s March Madness Live platform, but that may require a valid cable login, according to CBS News.
What to watch for
Both Duke and Alabama head into the Elite Eight after historically strong individual performances from team members.
Blue Devils freshman Cooper Flagg had 30 points, seven assists, six rebounds and three blocks in Thursday night’s win over No. 4 seed Arizona. And Crimson Tide senior Mark Sears had an appropriately searing night behind the arc earlier on Thursday night.
His 10 made 3-pointers against No. 6 BYU were one short of the individual NCAA tournament record, according to the Associated Press, and Alabama set a new team record for 3-pointers in a tournament game by making 25 in Thursday’s win.
Whether Sears and Alabama can continue their furious 3-point attack, and whether they can slow Flagg’s all-around dominance on both sides of the court for Duke, will be keys to the Elite Eight matchup in Newark.
