Love Is Blind alum Chelsea Blackwell is in awe of how much weight she’s lost since taking GLP-1 medication and overhauling her diet.
“I’m almost 40 pounds down since starting a GLP-1, which is unreal,” Blackwell, 32, exclusively told Us Weekly while discussing her partnership with Optavia. “I can absolutely tell a difference in the energy I have and my overall mood.”
Blackwell, who appeared on season 6 of the Netflix dating experiment, has been using a GLP-1 (Glucagon-Like Peptide-1) medication — an injection made to help individuals manage Type 2 diabetes and obesity — for four months. She has supplemented the medicine by turning to Optavia to tweak both her diet and fitness routine.
“With the easy-to-follow plan and supportive coach, it’s been perfect for me and my busy lifestyle,” she explained to Us. “Optavia has given me the nutritional support to do it in a healthy way. I’m over the moon and feel incredible.”

Blackwell further credited getting a tummy tuck and a breast augmentation last year as her “motivational kickstart” to get in better shape.
“I have always struggled with my weight, but turning 30, it was almost impossible to see any results,” Blackwell admitted. “Deciding to undergo surgery was a no-brainer, but you must take care of your body after a surgery like that. A lot of people are unaware that if you don’t work out or eat healthy the weight goes to other parts of your body — and that’s no good.”
Blackwell, specifically, works with an Optavia coach, who provides “the most incredible tools” along the journey.
“My coach connects with me weekly, truly understands me and helps me understand what I need to reach my goals in a healthy way,” Blackwell explained. “Sticking to my Optavia nutritional plan, combined with my GLP-1, has helped me see the most results while feeling great.”
Blackwell’s coach, a woman named Tiffany, has also shared other tidbits to help “spice up” daily meals.
“My coach is the best. She is always accessible, knows the answer to every question and holds me accountable,” the Netflix alum said. “With my busy schedule, she’ll give me the best takeout or restaurant options if I’m not able to cook a healthy meal at home.”

Now that Blackwell has lost nearly 40 pounds, she has been able to maintain her progress after sticking to the newly acquired “healthy habits” she learned via Optavia.
“Some of those habits include having a better idea of making a healthier choice while at a restaurant, upping my daily water intake or always keeping a high-protein snack on me,” Blackwell noted. “By following an Optavia plan designed for those on GLP-1 medications, it takes the guesswork out of what I should eat and provides an all-in-one solution tailored to my needs. (They made their Instagram debut in October 2024, nearly one year after fans watched her break off her engagement to Jimmy Presnell during LiB season 6. Blackwell also went viral at the time for a comment she made about being told that she looks like Megan Fox.)
“He‘s doing Optavia with me,” Blackwell revealed to Us. “We work out together and plan our meals together. He’s the best motivator, supporter and partner in this journey.”
Since starting her Optavia plan, Blackwell has noticed a big change in more than just a smaller number on the scale.
“I’m so proud of myself for how far I’ve come,” she gushed. “It’s not about the number on the scale, it’s really about how I feel and the confidence that I have gained back.”
