Jax Taylor addressed fan speculation that his numerous nose jobs were actually a result of his cocaine use.
During the Thursday, March 27, episode of his “In the Mind of a Mind” podcast, Taylor, 45, read a question submitted by a listener who asked, “Did you have to get all those nose jobs because of your cocaine use?”
Taylor laughed before he cleared the air. “No. I didn’t like the way my nose [looked] — I really didn’t,” he revealed. “I wanted a nose job years and years ago but I couldn’t afford it. My whole family has the same nose, we all do. I had an opportunity to get it done.”
The Valley star explained that his first nose job was because he wanted it, while his second was a necessity after a serious injury. Bravo fans may remember Taylor was very candid about how he walked “face first” into a glass door in an early season of Vanderpump Rules. Taylor continued to make numerous visits to his plastic surgeon for upkeep, which resulted in jokes about his numerous procedures.

The fan question comes after Taylor recently went public with his addiction.
“I have substance issues — primarily with cocaine. It’s hard to say out loud,” he said on Bravo’s “Hot Mic” podcast in March. “I’ve been dealing with this on and off since I was 23 and now I’m 45. There were times where I would stop doing it but then there were times where I’d go heavy on it.”
Taylor discussed cutting out alcohol, as well. “People ask you, ‘Do you have an alcohol problem too?’ I don’t necessarily think I have an alcohol problem but the two go hand in hand,” he continued. “I can’t do cocaine without drinking. So I just gave up both. I’m proud to say I’m 83 days sober right now, which is the longest I’ve ever gone in my life without either.”
While addressing his sobriety journey, Taylor acknowledged that there were “some signs” Bravo fans picked up on.
“And [producers] did pull me aside a couple times and say, ‘Listen, calm down now.’ They didn’t know, but they thought I was drinking too much,” he recalled before clarifying that production wasn’t “supplying” the cast with alcohol or any substances. “I would go off on my own. We would film a scene and you have 30 minutes [of] downtime so most people go rest. I would go to a bar, get lit or go next door from SUR and that’s where we all went because we weren’t allowed to drink during scenes.”

He continued: “During certain times, we would go to parties. But when we’re doing these important scenes, they were like, ‘Stay away from that’. But we’d all sneak in the back alley or we would all go get ripped before a scene.”
In Us Weekly‘s cover story, Taylor elaborated on celebrating more than 100 days of sobriety.
“I had all these other issues because I’m masking loneliness,” he revealed. “I’m masking the texting women by doing drugs and drinking alcohol. I have all these other issues. So it’s a slow process, which is hard for me because I always look for the quick fix. This is one of those things in life that it’s not a quick fix. You have to work at it. I’m not used to that.”
Taylor is committed to doing the work, concluding, “This is not gonna work that way. That’s not how addiction, sickness and mental health works. People are like, ‘Jax, you’ve done a lot of freaking damage. Like a lot. And this is just not going to go away anymore. People have had enough.”
