Kailyn Lowry is ready to make her return to the Teen Mom franchise.
In Us Weekly’s exclusive sneak peek of the Thursday, March 27, episode of Teen Mom: The Next Chapter, Maci Bookout is able to reunite with the former Teen Mom 2 star in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
“I never would have pictured myself being here,” Kailyn, 33, says to Maci, 33 when talking about her current reality as a mom of seven. “I’m done now. I got my tubes taken out. They cut them out.”
In 2010, Kailyn appeared on 16 and Pregnant where she welcomed her first child, Isaac Elliot Rivera, with her high school boyfriend Jo Rivera.

She continued documenting her parenthood journey on Teen Mom 2 as she welcomed Lincoln, 11, with ex Javi Marroquin. She also shares Lux, 7, and Creed, 4, with ex Chris Lopez.
In May 2022, Lowry announced she was leaving the Teen Mom franchise after documenting her life for nearly 11 years. At the time, she expressed to fans that she wanted to focus on other passions like expanding her podcast network.
Close to six months later, she welcomed Rio, 2, with Elijah Scott. At the end of 2024, Kailyn and Elijah completed their family by becoming parents to twins Verse and Valley.
“It was rough, especially the last one being twins,” Kailyn shares with Maci in Us’ preview clip. “I’d probably have triplets the next time and I didn’t get a girl without the boy, which is so funny.”
While catching up with her former costar, Kailyn was curious to learn more about how Maci has been able to successfully coparent with ex Ryan Edwards. (The pair share 16-year-old son Bentley.)
After Ryan chose to get sober nearly two years ago, Maci says everything began to change for the better.
“Up until then, we did not coparent at all,” she shares. “I coparented with his parents. I feel like we’re just now building a coparenting relationship.”
While Ryan wasn’t a present father to Bentley for many years, Maci says she is “not resentful” and isn’t angry.
“I have learned and believe and understand that I cannot make up for what Ryan has done and it’s not my responsibility,” she shares. “I cannot do that. Only Ryan can do that.”

On a lighter note, both Kailyn and Maci also joke about how old they are getting. When the thought of becoming grandparents in their 30s comes up, both MTV stars freak out.
“Hell no,” Maci says with a laugh. “By the grace of God and common sense and communication.”
