A man was hospitalized Friday evening after a knife-wielding suspect on a bicycle tried to rob him in Clinton.
The man was in the driveway outside his River Road home about 5:30 p.m. when an unknown man on a bicycle approached him, according to the Clinton Police Department.
The suspect took out a knife and attempted to rob the homeowner. During the struggle, the homeowner received several lacerations, Clinton police said Sunday.
The suspect fled when a neighbor, who heard the commotion, came out to help.
The homeowner was taken to the hospital, where he was expected to make a full recovery.
The attack remains under investigation.
