Why is it that the state of Maine, run by Gov. Janet Mills cannot pay their bills in a timely manner? Another daycare in Aroostook County is closing due the state of Maine not holding up their end of the agreement to pay these providers what they are owed. We all know there is an extreme shortage of daycare services and we all know that is one of the reasons that companies are hurting for employees.
You have nursing homes, daycares, homecare agencies that are all on the verge of going bankrupt due, in part, to the state not fully paying its bills. In some cases, the money has been allocated so why are they dragging in responding?
The state is in a crisis as Mills and the Legislature are pondering on how much they will increase our taxes instead of cutting back more on non-necessary things. Pay your bills like you should be paying!
