Southern Charm star Venita Aspen offered further insight on her relationship — or lack thereof — with Jarret “JT” Thomas.
“I’m on a walk and I call JT and I say, ‘Hey, listen, I want you to come with me to this event as my date.’ He goes, ‘You know, I don’t think my girlfriend’s gonna like that.’ I literally throw my phone on my porch and slam my door,” Venita, 31, shared during the Southern Charm after show on Thursday, March 14, noting that she didn’t want to look like “a f—ing homewrecker.”
The phone call Ventia was referring to took place during the episode of Southern Charm which premiered on Thursday. The event in question was a summer party hosted by costar Madison LeCroy and Ryan Albert.
“Imagine having a girlfriend and then having your best friend spend $5,000 on you at Dumas,” Venita continued, referencing a scene from earlier in the season when she and JT, 39, went shopping together. “And you get it tailored, same day turnaround. They don’t do that for anybody else.”

Costar Leva Bonaparte was confused about Venita spending the money on JT.
“That was my best friend first,” Venita continued, noting that her mother — who had met JT — was “very upset” about what went down.
The most recent season of Southern Charm teased what appeared to be romantic tension between JT and Venita. One episode, which aired last month, showed JT revealing to Venita that he was dating someone else. Several episodes later, the cast headed on a trip to the Bahamas where Venita went to JT’s room in the middle of the night.
According to an Instagram Story posted by Venita earlier this month, these two episodes were not shown in chronological order of when the events actually went down.
“Let me make something VERY CLEAR. That dinner JT and I had after I made a Branzino was AFTER the Bahamas yall as an audience saw it BEFORE,” she wrote. “So this weeks episode is now making me look like I’m a home wrecker when I’m not. I know what I signed up for but I also will not allow the world to think I’m that woman when I’m not.”

Thursday’s Southern Charm after show also featured fellow cast member Salley Carson weighing in on the Venita and JT situation.
“He pretended to want Venita and he had a girlfriend the whole f—ing time,” she said. “I will f— you up if you f— with one of my girls, and he f—ed with Venita. He’s dead to me.”
The Southern Charm season 10 finale airs on Bravo Thursday, March 20, at 8 p.m. ET.
