Sen. Susan Collins’ website extols: “As a member of the powerful Senate Appropriations Committee and the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence, I hold key positions in Congress that oversee and shape national security issues of importance to both Maine and the United States.”
Collins’ power and position has been rendered essentially meaningless as Elon Musk and Donald Trump continue to cut or stop funding to previously approved legislation by those committees.
Most recently, by stopping all military support for Ukraine, Trump is abandoning those we have fought alongside, our fellow freedom fighters — something no soldier I’ve ever met would do.
I believe he is not only spitting on Collins’ diligence over many years, he is spitting on the graves of all our troops who have sacrificed to defend our freedom. He is spitting on all of us who elected Collins and have paid taxes to support the policies and laws they enacted.
I ask Sen. Collins: What are you going to do about this?
