A man has been arrested in the weekend killing in Norridgewock.
Daniel Markey, 59, was charged with murder, according to Shannon Moss, a spokesperson for the Maine Department of Public Safety.
Markey allegedly shot 38-year-old Christopher Nickerson about 9:25 a.m. Saturday at a River Road home, where both men were staying.
When police arrived at the scene, Nickerson was already dead. His body was taken to the Maine medical examiner’s office in Augusta, where an autopsy will be conducted, Moss said Monday.
Markey was being held at the Somerset County Jail in Madison, and he was scheduled to appear in court on Monday afternoon.
