The love rectangle between Mason, Madison, Meg and Alex on Love Is Blind was low-key a love pentagon.
“It’s so funny to look back because I was talking to Mason up until almost the end,” Lauren O’Brien revealed in an exclusive interview with Us Weekly.
Fans saw several episodes of Mason Horacek in the middle of relationships with Madison Errichiello and Meg Fink in the pods. When Mason seemed to go all in on Madison, she revealed she was closer with Alex Brown. Lauren’s connection with Mason wasn’t shown at all as the Netflix cameras closed in on her romance to eventual fiancé David Bettenburg.
“After I realized that he had this whole thing with Meg and Madison and I was like, ‘Wait, what? We’ve been talking every day,’” Lauren continued. “It is so funny to watch that back and just not have seen any of that. But I think it’s a testament to [how] I was so wrapped up in my own s—. Like, I was having these conversations with the guys and, of course, you’re spending time in the lounge, but so much of my headspace was being taken up about these romantic relationships.”

While Lauren and Dave got engaged — but didn’t make it down the aisle — both Mason and Meg and Madison and Alex split before the pods were over. The latest batch of episodes of Love Is Blind revealed what happened when the cameras stopped following both duos.
Madison and Alex, for their part, briefly connected off camera.
“I come out of the pods and the first message I get on my phone is from Alex, and I think he had figured out what I look like. … Because it was on Instagram and he was like, ‘Oh, my f—ing God.’ And I was like, ‘Yeah. Regretting it now, aren’t you?’” she told People in a new interview. “No, I’m kidding. But he was like, ‘I really want to meet up with you at the airport.’ And I was like, ‘Did we not just break up? That was pretty emotional for me. I don’t know, maybe we should take some time.’”

When they did meet up IRL, she was discouraged by Alex putting emphasis on her looks.
“The whole time he’s just like, ‘Oh, you are so beautiful, stay here with me in L.A..’ I’m like, ‘We just broke up,’” she said. “I put my all into those pods and if it didn’t work then, it’s not gonna work now. But I could tell that he was very much like, ‘Let’s make this work.’”
Mason and Meg, meanwhile, had more success outside of the show.

“So after I left, I was like, ‘I’m not talking to the guy.’ And then the second I got my phone, I was like, ‘How’s Mason?’ And then I messaged him,” Meg told her costars on their group hangout. Mason replied, “I’m doing a lot worse now that I know you’re gorgeous,” and the twosome decided to give things a shot.
While fans will likely get an official update on the Love Is Blind reunion on Friday, March 9, Meg and Mason were seen cuddling up to each other in a group photo recently shared by castmate Brittany Dodson, leading fans to think they are still going strong.
