One person was killed in a snowmobile crash Friday in northern Maine, according to the Greenville Firefighters Association.
The crash was reported at 1:44 p.m., on the ITS 86 West snowmobile trail near Kokadjo.
Rescue crews drove to a road near the location of the initial 911 call, and then traveled about four miles by snowmobile to reach the crash site, according to the fire department’s Facebook post.
When they arrived, they confirmed that the person involved in the crash had died.
The Maine Warden Service is investigating the crash.
