I hope and pray that in the next election cycle we can elect leaders that are much more in the center of the political spectrum than the radical leadership we have observed. This radical leadership can be harmful to persons and is not how a representative republic works best.

The latest discourse by Gov. Janet Mills and President Donald Trump is a good example. Fighting for what I see as an ideology that allows students to identify as females and then take over a woman’s sporting event is a prime example of digging ones heels in to fight for an ideology that I believe in no way can benefit women athletes. In addition, I believe it is non-representative and harmful to women that dedicated many hours to be good at their sport.

I am not saying that men are always better than women. Common sense does dictate that in the average sense men will dominate some women’s sports if they are allowed to participate.

My sport was ice hockey. I played on some teams with women, and they were better players than myself. However, I don’t think men need to worry about biological women taking over that sport.

If there is any silver lining to all of this, it has reminded us of biological differences that can’t be denied, and it has exposed the ill effects of implementing radical ideologies. I hope that during the next vote people will become informed and look deep into the heart and soul of the persons that we elect to represent us.
