A Sidney woman accused of killing a 14-year-old boy has been indicted for murder, according to the Kennebec Journal.
On Dec. 20, 2024, 39-year-old Megan McDonald drove more than 40 miles from Sidney to the Androscoggin County Sheriff’s Office in Auburn and reported that an incident had happened at her home in Sidney.
When police arrived at the house, officers found the body of a 14-year-old boy outside the home.
An autopsy determined the teen died from a combination of asphyxiation, manual strangulation and sharp force injury.
McDonald was arrested and charged with murder.
Authorities have not publicly released the victim’s name or how the two are related, but the Sidney Athletic Association confirmed the boy who was killed was named Quincy McDonald.
McDonald is being held at the Kennebec County Jail in Augusta without bail.
