Maine State Police are asking the public to avoid West Old Main Road in the Penobscot County town of Lowell.
State police said in a Facebook post they are at the scene of an “ongoing incident,” and that there is no immediate danger to the public, but motorists should avoid the area.
West Old Main Road is also known as Route 188. Police did not specify where on the road the incident was taking place.
