Katie Maloney‘s low-key romance with Sleeping With Sirens guitarist Nick Martin has captivated Vanderpump Rules fans since she first opened up about their connection.
During an October 2024 episode of her “Disrespectfully” podcast, Maloney surprised listeners by revealing her new relationship status.
“I have a boyfriend,” Maloney told her cohost Dayna Kathan. “Yeah, I’m in love, everybody. I’m really happy.”
Maloney chose not to name her significant other at the time but added, “He’s the most wonderful person I’ve ever met. He’s very lovely and he just makes me feel really special and he’s really special and, yeah, I’m just really happy.”

Later that month, Maloney’s Vanderpump Rules costar Scheana Shay confirmed speculation that Martin was the mystery man.
“There’s been some things online recently. I’ve seen little bits and pieces. But let me tell you, he could not have been nicer,” Shay shared on her own podcast. “He’s from San Diego and we just talked about that. Then I ran into them again later back at the hotel at the end of the night, and [he] was just such a sweet guy. I caught the end of their set.”
Maloney has since shared more photos of her romance with Martin, which comes two years after her split from Tom Schwartz. The former couple were married for six years before their 2022 divorce. Schwartz, for his part, moved on with Sophia Skoro.

“This weekend, I went to go see my boyfriend. He has to travel for work, so I went to go meet up with him and hang out with him and spend some time,” Maloney shared on her “Disrespectfully” podcast, referencing her relationship for the first time. “It was really amazing ’cause I hadn’t seen him in a few weeks and just being able to, like, spend some quality time and just be around him was really necessary and really nice.”

In response to a fan question, Maloney’s costar Shay confirmed she had met Martin.
“We were all by the artist trailers in the hangout area [at an event] and he and Katie were walking up while I was standing at the taco truck in line getting food. I said hi to her,” Shay recalled on her “Scheananigans” podcast. “She introduced me to her boyfriend.”
Shay continued: “We actually left Fall Out Boy a little early because they were playing at the same time. But I wanted to check out Sleeping With Sirens. I wanted to see what the band was all about. They were really good.”

Lala Kent joked about Shay blowing up Maloney’s spot, sharing on an episode of her “Give Them Lala” podcast, “Scheana Shay was the one that confirmed Katie Maloney’s relationship. She told me, ‘I accidentally confirmed it.’”
Kent poked fun at “clueless” Shay for discussing Maloney’s romance on a public platform. “[Katie and Nick] haven’t confirmed [their relationship] because what I read is he is going through a messy divorce and they have to keep it quiet,” she claimed.

Schwartz showed his support for Maloney, telling Page Six he was “so happy” for her and Martin.
“I haven’t met her new man, but I’m so happy for her,” he said. “I mean it, I love to see her happy.”
Schwartz also offered an update on his dynamic with Maloney, explaining, “We’re buddies. We’re not BFFs — I don’t want to overhype it, but we’re cool. We’re in a good place. We’re buddies again. There’s no friction or tension.”

!!!!!” The social media upload included a sweet photo of Maloney gazing at the Sleeping With Sirens guitarist, which marked the first time Maloney publicly acknowledged the romance since sparking rumors two months prior.

Maloney and Martin celebrated their first Christmas together as a couple less than a month after they took their romance public. Her mother, Teri Maloney, shared numerous photos of the duo enjoying their holiday festivities.

Martin celebrated Maloney’s birthday with a special message and adorable photo of the couple. They later reunited on a trip to Utah.
That same month, Maloney offered rare comments about their romance, sharing on her podcast, “He just is so thoughtful. I was friends with him for a long time before anything happened and honestly wasn’t on my bingo card. I didn’t expect to fall for him, but I did and it happened really quick. I think we just both were on the same page with things. I just always thought he was just so kind and thoughtful and supportive. He’s been nothing but supportive since the day I met him basically.”
She continued: “I just feel really lucky and fortunate and he just is always just there. He’s so patient and loving and he’s so nice to my family, which is really important. I love his family and his friends. I just feel very, I’m a lucky, lucky gal. He was the most wonderful person I met.”

“He’s supportive in every way imaginable. He supports my opinions, my thoughts, my feelings, my dreams and my moods. Just emotionally and actually physically supportive,” Maloney gushed on a podcast. “He just shows up when I don’t need to ask him to be there. He just wants to be there in my life and wants to be that kind of presence in my life. He’s just not afraid to express his emotions.”
She continued: “He’s very emotionally open and available, which is the only way you can build a connection with somebody. You have to be able to learn how they operate in life and how to understand them. Understanding someone is the only way to connect with them.”
